Design Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Required Skills and Qualification

• Proficiency in Embedded Systems: Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems
• Expertise in ESP32, STM, and 8051 microcontrollers
• In depth knowledge and hands-on experience with C programming language for Embedded Systems. Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., C++, Python) is beneficial.
• Potentially work on multiple projects at the same time
• Some experiences in PCB bring-up, debugging, verification testing, and performance characterization
• Ability to analyze complex technical challenges, identify solutions, and implement them effectively. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering – Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical or related field preferred

Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in electronic design engineering, specifically focused on medical devices and embedded systems

Role and Responsibility:

• Design, develop and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. Analyze requirements, develop system architecture, and select appropriate microcontrollers and components for implementation based on project requirements
• Design, develop, code, test and debug system software and review
• Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough Testing and Validate product design
• Interface with hardware design and development, Develop circuit schematics, PCB layouts and generate PCB Designs
• Compliance with medical device regulations: Stay up-to-date with relevant medical device regulations and standards, such as ISO 13485 and IEC 60601, and ensure compliance throughout the design and development process. Prepare documentation and support the regulatory submission process as required
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide production, post production support – Investigate and resolve issues related to hardware or software to implement effective solutions
• Re-designing existing products
