Junior Design Engineer

Qualification and Technical Skills:

• Strong foundational knowledge of Electronics and Embedded Systems
• Experience in PCB bring-up, debugging, verification testing, and performance characterisation
• Basic languages known – C, C++, 8051 ALM, and Python
• Hands-on experience with STM Microcontrollers, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi-based microcontroller platforms
• Working knowledge of PCB design tools: Altium, Eagle, KiCad
• Ability to understand hardware-software interaction and system-level designs
• Potentially work on multiple projects at the same time

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics) preferred

Role and Responsibility:

A. Embedded Software Development

• Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
• Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
• ⁠Review code and design
• Integrate and Validate product design
• Support software QA activities and optimize I/O performance
• Provide post production support and assist in issue resolution

B. Hardware & PCB Engineering

• Interface with hardware design and development
• ⁠Develop circuit schematics, PCB layouts and generate PCB Designs
• Re-designing existing products to enhance performance, safety, or manufacturability

C. Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate design records, technical documentation, and ensure all design files are properly updated.
• Contribute to the Product Design History File (DHF) and ensure traceability of design changes.

General Skills & Attributes:

• Good communication skills suitable for technical discussions and documentation
• Strong time management, organisational skills, and a structured approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work effectively in a team with good interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation
• Sincere, honest, hardworking, ethical, and trustworthy
• Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality in handling design and project information
